At one yr, under 5 lbs already neutered, sweet JD was a puppymill dog.
We don't know his story or what he endured or why he was in there so long. We can only guess that he was going to or was used to be a stud dog. He's not a typical Chih, he's shy and friendly, with the typical bossy chih hidden for now.... but it's in there! He gets the zoomies so there's still so much puppy in him!
Not trained in anyway, I would recommend a belly band so he can learn potty training.
He also he would definitely be considered a flight risk and needs a fenced yard. Although he really is charming once he warms up, the untrust of people kicks in his flight mode.
Despite his life being isolated, he appears to be happy and healthy. He was just neutered and needs a family that understands puppy mill dogs need more time to adjust than normal dog
He would love nothing more than to cuddle under some covers with his favorite human companion this fall!
