Meet Beautiful Betty! She is thought to be a 1 year old Doodle mix Spayed and up to date, gorgeous and resilient, Betty’s life started out as a stray, she obviously knew how to care for herself, because she arrived to her foster home very well fed and healthy.
She is incredibly smart, quick to housetrain and walk on a leash. She walks right next to her person. It's so easy! She is incredibly well behaved and is very much the strong, silent type. She is so incredibly gentle, connecting with another foster poodle in such a sweet and motherly way. She was absolutely her happiest when there was another cute dog around.
She is shy around new people, and you have to earn her trust. This needs to be done with calmness and the understanding that people may not have been very kind to her in the past. Betty is beginning to like to be pet by her foster family. She seems to like wearing ribbons on her head. She will take time to adjust and this will look a lot like silence and fear. Just give her food, a drink, and space, tell her she is a “good girl” and she will soon come to you. She is not extremely food motivated, but really likes meat and kibble. She has shown so much growth from when she first arrived to her foster home. She will be such an amazing family dog. She needs a home with a fenced in yard!
