Important Information for Fostering Agreement
This form also serves as our agreement to foster. By completing this form, you are agreeing to the following statements and The Charlie Project Dog Rescue policies.
Fostering Policies
- 1. The animal will remain the property of The Charlie Project Dog Rescue and could be removed at any time at the discretion of The Charlie Project Dog Rescue.
- 2. The animal will be kept indoors, living as an indoor house pet, sleeping inside the home. If the foster family will be away for more than 12 hours, arrangements to care for the animal must be made. The Charlie Project Dog Rescue will not pay for boarding or other care arrangements for the animal.
- 3. The animal(s) is/are to be adopted only by a family or individual pre-screened and approved by The Charlie Project Dog Rescue.
- 4. The animal will be fed high quality dog food, watered, and exercised appropriately by the foster family. Dogs may not be exercised outdoors off-leash in any unfenced area.
- 5. Routine veterinary care will be provided to the animal by an approved vet for The Charlie Project Dog Rescue. Any veterinary care must be pre-approved by The Charlie Project Dog Rescue.
- 6. If possible, emergency veterinary care should be approved in advance by The Charlie Project Dog Rescue. If conditions don't permit, the foster family should use their best judgment in obtaining veterinary care. The Charlie Project Dog Rescue should then be notified immediately.
- 7. Adoption fees and adoption forms will be sent directly to The Charlie Project Dog Rescue treasurer within 5 days after the adoption is done.
- 8. Any potential adopter information is property of The Charlie Project Dog Rescue and turned over to The Charlie Project Dog Rescue administration if requested.
- 9. Any supplies purchased with The Charlie Project Dog Rescue money, are to be returned if foster family discontinues fostering for The Charlie Project Dog Rescue.
- 10. The first right of adoption of the animal will be granted to the foster family and Adoption Fee will be collected and Adoption Agreement completed.
- 11. The Charlie Project Dog Rescue will not be held responsible for injuries to people, including family members and/or visitors and anyone else in contact with The Charlie Project Dog Rescue foster dog(s). In addition, The Charlie Project Dog Rescue will not be held liable for injuries to other animals, including family pets, visiting pets, or neighboring pets.
- 12. The Charlie Project Dog Rescue is not responsible for property damage caused by The Charlie Project Dog Rescue foster dog(s) and foster family accepts full responsibility for any injury or damage caused by The Charlie Project Dog Rescue foster dog(s).
- 13. Fosters must have transportation to be able to take the animal to and from the vet and any adoption events held by The Charlie Project Dog Rescue.
- 14. The Charlie Project Dog Rescue reserves the right to perform a home inspection.
